Wherefore, ye must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men. Wherefore, if press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal life.

{more chaos} 30-day challenge: Day 1

Okay, so after not writing my blog for over a year I really thought I was done with the whole blogging thing. But no. Here I am again. My friend Heather is doing a 30-day blog challenge and I thought it would be fun to join as well. So today the prompt is to post a recent pic, introduce yourself and post 15 interesting things about yourself. Here it goes...find a recent pic of me on the side bar---------->>>>
That is our most recent family picture worth hanging on the wall and sending to friends. It was taken shortly after Lulu's baptism in Oct.

If you are reading this blog I hope you know who I am. Even though I have been blogging-AWOL I have been alive in real life and pretty busy. Buddy and Lulu are both in school all day now and Squiggle and I hang out doing crafts, running errands, playing games, etc

Now for 15 interesting things about me (I'll try and keep it short and sweet):
1. I am a night owl and have to force myself into bed most nights and out of bed in the morning
2. I have lived in UT most of my life and have never been skiing
3. I refuse to shop at Wal-Mart because I don't agree with their business practices and I refuse to buy Herbal Essence products after a marketing campaign I felt was degrading to women.
4. I enjoy cooking, but am not too good at planning ahead
5. I like to be in charge--maybe as a result of
6. Being the oldest of three--I have two younger brothers
7. I love watching football, but not basketball or baseball
8. I sold an apartment complex and a townhouse without a realtor
9. I {love} Christmas cards--especially those with pictures! I send out about 50 cards and get less than 20 in return. I know not everyone loves sending/receiving cards as much as me, but I enjoy it and I guess I'll keep doing it even if I'm the only person who likes it.
10. I have a BS in Sociology
11. I have been married for 10 years
12. We have had season tickets to Hale Center Theater for six years--we are always one of the younger couples there, but it is a great excuse for a date night and we enjoy all the plays.
13. I can beat anyone in my family at Wii Swordfighting
14. I love playing Words With Friends and often have over 5 games going at once (want to play? email me and I'll tell you my username)
15. I decided I wanted to serve an LDS mission when I my cousin sent home a video from his mission. He just went down the street knocking on door after door and never got in. I don't know why, but after that I knew I wanted to go on a mission.

Whew! That was tough--and really random. Come back tomorrow and I'll try and be a bit more creative. Let me post a few LOs I have completed from our recent trip to CA to liven this post up a bit (all images are linked if you are interested in the credits):

  3. I wish I were tough enough to not shop at Walmart, but when most of your shopping must get done with 4 kids in tow, one-stop is where it's at! Nice to hear/read from you again! I'm curious about Words with Friends now ...
