Wherefore, ye must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men. Wherefore, if press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal life.

{more joy} Signs our Family enjoyed the Olympics:

#1 Buddy has decided he wants to be a diver, pole vaulter and synchronized swimmer. When Rob asked him if he had seen any boy synchronized swimmers he was totally unfazed and replied, "No". Then Rob told him maybe he could start his own boy synchronized swimming team.  He agreed that would a great idea.

#2 Lulu wants to be a diver, gymnast and synchronized swimmer.

#3 Last week:
Buddy--Mom, can I get a diving board for my birthday?
Me--A diving board? Well, we don't have pool.
Buddy--Yeah, we do; that little pool
Then I tried to explain why a wading pool is not sufficient for diving board--harder than you might imagine when you dealing with a four-year old.

#4 Today we were watching our first college football game and Rob told the kids the names of the two teams and who was winning.  Lulu responded, "Which ones are the Americans?"

Needless to say, we had a great time watching the Olympics as a family and the kids were disappointed that the Olympics were over this past week.  They also think it's cool that the Olympics were in China where Mom served her mission.  Yes, I keep correcting them, but I guess China just seems more exotic and far away than Tucson.

  1. We enjoyed the olympics, too.
T-man loves to point out the olympic rings anytime he sees them. He also had a good time doing sprints back and forth between the family room and the play room. He earned the gold medal every time!
