Wherefore, ye must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men. Wherefore, if press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal life.

{more joy} Clean Clothes!

Okay, I have 3 posts tonight, so enjoy :)

It seems like we have been spending a lot of $$ lately, but this is the last BIG purchase.  A new Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer!  Very exciting.  Much more sophisticated and MUCH more pricey than the last pair we bought just six years ago, but also more energy efficient :)
When we moved into my parents house we rented our townhouse for 2 years and kept our washing & dryer there.  When we sold our townhouse last year, we sold it with the washer and dryer.  We didn't have anywhere to store it, and we thought it would make the home attractive to first-time buyers if it included a washer and dryer.  So now here we are buying 2 sets of washers/dryers in less than 10 years.  Anyway, I'm excited about this washer because it doesn't have an agitator, is more efficient and is HUGE--4.6 cubic feet to be exact!  I seriously could just sit and stare at the enormity of it all day--too bad staring doesn't get the clothes clean!
Listen (okay, read) what the website says and you'll be excited too:
Wash three baskets of laundry in a single load, thanks to a 4.6 cu. ft. I.E.C. capacity. An ENERGY STAR® qualification saves up to 44% water  and 55% energy compared to conventional top-load washers. And with the Direct Inject wash system, a burst of detergent penetrates stains and stubborn soil so you don't have to pretreat.
It also has a clear lid so you can watch your clothes swooshing around getting determent penetrated into every fiber--next time I can't find Buddy, I know where to look.  Just so no one is concerned about Buddy's safety I'll let you know the washer has an automatic locking door after the cycle begins.

Also along the lines of appliances I found out today I have an awesome range and convection oven.  They are so complicated it might take me 6 months to figure them out!  Wish me luck!

  2. I have to get me that washer, just so I can watch it through the clear window!!! That is the coolest thing ever! Philip makes fun of me cause I like to watch the washer fill up. I am amused so easily.
